LUBEGARD Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) Protectant is suitable for all automatic transmissions and manuals that require ATF, including heavy-duty transmissions like Allison. It can be used with synthetic or mineral-based DEXRON, MERCON, and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) ATF's, with the exception of Ford Type F ATF and CVT applications.

Lubegard is effective in controlling heat, especially in today's front-wheel-drive vehicles that run hotter. It contains LXE (Liquid Wax Ester) Technology, along with base oils, derivatives, and conventional additives. Its purpose is to increase the thermal and oxidative stability of automatic transmission fluids, preventing thinning, pyrolysis, burning, and deposit formation when operating at high temperatures.

The use of LUBEGARD ATF Protectant will not lead to clutch friction or slippage issues. To use, add 1 oz. (29.6 mL) per quart (liter) of ATF to the total transmission capacity, including the torque converter, while the engine is idling in park. Avoid overfilling. This product is universally compatible and reduces wear throughout the transmission while optimizing its overall performance. It helps prevent overheating by reducing elevated operating temperatures and eliminating clutch chatter and torque converter shudders. Additionally, it softens and improves harsh shifts, making them quicker in duration.
